My Mission as a Therapist

My mission is to empower you to understand yourself more deeply, embrace your uniqueness, and navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. Therapy is a collaborative process—one that invites curiosity, compassion, and courage. I feel honored to support people in making meaningful changes, healing past wounds, and stepping into who they are. Whether you’re dealing with relationship struggles, neurodivergence-related challenges, or major life transitions, I provide a safe and grounding space where your story is honored.

My Journey to Therapy

After years in health education within hospitals and community health settings, I realized that information alone wasn’t enough. While education can empower, lasting changes require deeper emotional support. This realization led me to therapy, where I could walk alongside people as a guide and witness to their healing.

As a therapist, I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families, helping them explore their identity, process experiences, and find approaches that reflect their strengths and values. I work with clients navigating challenges related to neurodivergence, trauma, and relational issues. My background in health promotion and education informs my integration of somatic work into emotional and cognitive healing. I believe the body’s role in stress, trauma, and resilience is essential to meaningful, sustainable change.

How I Work with Individuals

My approach with individuals is rooted in understanding and compassion. Through somatic approaches and Internal Family Systems (IFS) I’ll help you explore your inner world and make space for emotions and experiences. This promotes self-awareness and resilience. IFS allows us to understand different parts of you, especially those that may feel stuck or conflicted. Somatic practices help you connect with your body’s wisdom to release tension and trauma. Additionally, I integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to address trauma and support emotional processing. By combining these modalities, you can heal and build a more integrated, empowered life.

How I work with Couples and Families

In my work with couples and parents, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and attachment-based principles to deepen emotional connection and mutual understanding. With couples, we work to break negative communication cycles, rebuild trust, intimacy, and safety. EFT helps couples tune into each other’s emotions and needs, guiding them toward positive interactions. In family sessions, we develop strategies rooted in connection and understanding to navigate family dynamics, especially during transitions or challenging behaviors. With attachment-based approaches, we will build secure, nurturing relationships that foster emotional growth and family cohesion.
